Introduction
What WarpKVM is and how it works.
WarpKVM is hardware-grade KVM over IP. Plug it into any machine and that machine is yours from anywhere: 4K 60 capture, BIOS-level control, end-to-end encrypted, open source.
How it works
WarpKVM sits between a target machine and your network. It captures the machine's HDMI output with a hardware H.264 / H.265 encoder, emulates a USB keyboard, mouse, and mass-storage device, and streams everything over an end-to-end encrypted Tailscale mesh, with 15–25 ms glass-to-glass latency on a gigabit LAN.
Because control happens at the hardware level, the target machine needs no agent, no OS support, and no working operating system at all. BIOS menus, boot loaders, kernel panics: all reachable.
